ATIPXpress is the
most comprehensive Web-based, off-the-shelf application available for
processing requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act
(FOI), Data Protection Act (DPA), Environmental Information Regulations
(EIR), and Access to Information Act (ATIA) and Privacy Act (PA) -
together referred to as "ATIP".
In a single solution, ATIPXpress, automates processing and document
review of public requests for information (RFI) in records under the
control of government institutions.
The US version of the application, FOIAXpress, is in use by over 70 US
government agencies, and has garned recognition throughout the world as
the ultimate FOI solution.
ATIPXpress can help automate your FOI business processes, speed
implementation within your institution, automatically calculate and
track due dates (often cited as causes of delay and are sometimes the
subject of appeals and litigation) and provide comprehensive, automated
reporting of statistical information on the efficiency of your FOI
process.
ATIPXpress is a powerful, feature-rich application that automates
compliance with applicable FOI, DPA, EIR, and ATIP regulations and
subsequent appeals, and transforms the work of RFI processing from
paper, manual labor and needlessly repetitive tasks to automated
processes commanded by user menus and icons.
ATIPXpress electronically stores, retrieves, redacts, and prints
documents for delivery to FOI and ATIP requesters. It also keeps track
of request processing statistics and fees, and generates reports on the
number, types, and disposition of requests processed.
The strength of ATIPXpress is its state of the art relational database,
which in turn drives its document retention capability. The system
collects and stores case information as it is processed. Predefined
stored procedures capture and retrieve information. The system tracks
requester (enquirer) information, such as: case information and status,
document information, correspondence log, redaction codes applied,
pending issues and other pertinent case information. All case
information captured by the system is stored in a case folder available
on the main screen through a “detail” icon. |

FOI and ATIP Management Functions are Completely Automated
Access by Multiple users in Different Locations - ATIPXpress is a
browser-based FOI and ATIP processing system which has been developed in
a manner that it has sufficient capability and flexibility that it can
be accessed by multiple users located in different locations.
Generate Case Numbers for New Requests - ATIPXpress case number format
gives you the flexibility to format the case number according to how
your FOI and ATIP organization handles requests.
Scanning Ability - ATIPXpress manages workflow from initial scanning of
a request letter directly into the case folder to completion of case
processing, tracking and reporting. ATIPXpress supports a broad range of
scanners using either TWAIN or ISIS drivers.
Redaction Ability - One of the key functions of any FOI/ATIP processing
application is performing redactions. Our native redaction component is
the most robust in the marketplace. With ATIPXpress, redactions to be
performed online without an external application and provides complete
redaction capability for the following document types: images, plain
text, MS Word, WordPerfect, and combined Word-text/image documents.
Letter Template Library - ATIPXpress integrates fully with MS Word or
WordPerfect to allow their use in generating all FOI/ATIP related
correspondence. Template letters can be created for all forms of
correspondence with specific signature or department letterhead. A
pull-down menu is available on the correspondence interface screen to
select templates and form letters. Case or contact information can be
dynamically added on each letter or email template. |
